Q3'25 NDAB PRESIDENT QUARTERLY UPDATE

September 15, 2025 9:55 AM | Brittney Roehrich (Administrator)

Hello NDAB Members,

Is it just me or does time seem to accelerate as we grow older? It seems like yesterday spring was just making its way to ND, now kids are back in school, campers and boats are getting winterized, and how are we going to get those projects enclosed so we can work through the winter inside? There is the theory that with experience, one becomes more efficient? Not so sure in my case because every year my to-do list gets longer preparing for winter. I guess it's part of living in the great state of ND....BULLY!!!

I want to say thank you to all who attended our summer NDAB meeting in Minot. It was a pretty good turnout and thank you MAB for hosting us. As always Brittney had our meetings well organized with the business side of the meetings to our guest speakers. It is very interesting for me to hear what projects are being proposed across the state as I attend several of the local events. I feel fortunate to live in the state we do in regard to the abundance of work available to our members. Federal defense projects such as the Sentinel project in and around Minot will be a huge boost to the north central part of our state. But supplies may come from several cities beyond Minot, so watch for those bid openings!

On another note, be aware of how zoning regulations in your local areas may be impacted by the new surge in data centers being proposed. Stay involved with your local associations to stay educated and informed of changes which may impact your business or development properties. As with any large projects like these, they can come with positive or negative consequences so stay informed!

IBS 2026 registration is live now for Orlando! Several have already registered, and rooms fill quickly. So, if you're planning to attend, don't hesitate.

Lastly, time is one thing we cannot reverse, though it is a precious commodity, don't cut corners to save time in exchange for safety! Those projects always find a way to get completed. Stay focused and safe so you can return home each day to those who support and love you most....your families!!! God Bless.

Sincerely,

Bob Horab

2025 NDAB President
